About Weir.

The Weir base drawn out to 2000 mm. The crossed lyre legs sit well in from each end. Nothing stands at the corners, so the head seats are usable and a chair can be added anywhere along the run.

2000 by 1000 mm seats eight — three a side, one at each end — and ten at close quarters. The width takes serving down the centre line without crowding settings.

Solid ash throughout in walnut finish, the top built from selected boards with the grain run continuously along its length. In stock, or made to your room.

Questions

What size room does a 2000 mm table need?

Around 3.8 by 2.8 m. Allow 900 mm clear from each edge so chairs pull out and people pass behind them.

Weir or Gyre for a long table?

Weir is the quieter of the two and leaves more legroom. Gyre is the sculptural choice, for a room where the table is the focus.
