About Reed.
A comb-back built the way comb-backs have always been built. The seat is saddled from solid ash, the spindles are turned one at a time and driven into it, and a steam-bent rail draws them together at the top.
Each spindle is thinner at the crest than at the seat. The fan reads light from across a room and feels solid the moment you sit down. 530 mm wide, so it tucks close.
Walnut-finished ash as shown, and open across the finish range. The seat can be upholstered in leather or bouclé where a project asks for it. In stock.
Questions
How many fit a 2000 mm table?
Eight — three each side, one at each head. At 530 mm the arms clear one another.
Is a carved seat comfortable?
The seat is saddled into a shallow dish that follows the body. It holds through a long meal in a way a flat seat does not.
