About Heron.
The arm and the front leg are one piece of ash. The line leaves the floor, turns through the arm and returns into the frame without interruption, so the joint the eye goes looking for at the elbow is not there.
The seat is low and wide — 1000 mm across, 705 mm to the crest. These are lounge proportions rather than armchair proportions. It settles beside a sofa without contesting it, and holds a room in pairs across a low table.
The leather is full-grain, aniline-finished and otherwise left alone. It will darken at the arms and along the seat front through the first year, and go on doing so quietly for a long time after. Drawn also in amber. Ready as shown, or made to your room in the ash finish, leather and proportion you choose.
Questions
Does bone leather mark?
It does, and the marks stay. Aniline leather takes its history rather than shedding it. For contract work in heavy traffic, specify the amber.
