Reef leans. The frame rakes back against the wall and is held square by a single pair of crossed spars at the rear — the only bracing in the piece, and the reason a 2100 mm bookshelf can be built from stock this slim.
The lean draws the shelves shallower as they rise: weight at the bottom, objects and smaller volumes at the top, which is how a shelf fills anyway. 1200 mm wide, 400 mm deep at the base.
Solid ash throughout in walnut finish, shelves in solid stock. It rests against the wall rather than fixing to it. In stock.
Questions
Does Reef need fixing to the wall?
It stands stable on a level floor. A single discreet bracket at the top is sensible in a house with young children.
